Katie is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and Certified Yoga Instructor. Katie prides herself on listening and caring genuinely about her clients and their overall health.

Massage

Katie believes a great Massage always starts with great listening skills. By clearly identifying the reason for your Massage, Katie can work with you to achieve your goal, whether it is to relax and reduce stress, recover after an injury, or ease everyday muscular pain and tension.

Katie believes applying the right amount of pressure, especially during a remedial or deep tissue treatment, is also extremely important and understands everyone is unique in their pressure tolerance. By using a soothing, yet firm pressure, Katie aims to find the balance between using enough pressure to cause a change within the muscle, and not going too far as to cause bruising or intense pain, causing your muscles to contract and tighten further.

Yoga

Katie insists on teaching poses safely and values the integrity, alignment, and function of each pose above all else. Using these strong foundations Katie strives to create classes that are interesting for all levels and abilities, providing lots of variations and combining functional poses, playful balancing, breathing exercises, and meditations to inspire a positive mind/body experience for all.

Personal

Fun fact about Katie - Katie and Tony were married in a small elopement ceremony on Lake Macquarie in 2020, instead of Katie taking her new husband’s name (or vice versa) Katie and Tony decided to combine their last names Steinhardt and Goodwin into a new last name - Goodhardt!

Katie completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy in 2014 in Sydney and her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 in Golden, BC, Canada.

Katie has always had a desire to help others and she aims to share her knowledge, awareness, and positive attitude through the practice of Massage Therapy, Yoga and Meditation. Katie’s goal is to create a friendly, inclusive environment where you can feel safe and happy, confident in your own body, and inspire you to live your best life.

In her spare time Katie enjoys cooking, eating, playing video games, playing piano, travelling, snowboarding, scary roller coasters, and strives everyday to live and enjoy a balanced lifestyle with her family and friends.
